COME JOIN THE ADVENTURE!
From Fore Street (and opposite Sainsbury’s) walk right down to the bottom of South Quay Hill which brings you into Newquay Harbour. The little beach entrance will be on your left and the RNLI station on your right. Follow the path round as it bears left and walk down along the harbour wall until you see the ODYSSEY Marine Adventures sign. Your skippers Matt and Pete will be waiting to greet you.
Parking is extremely limited in the harbour so we advise using one of the local car parks Please bear your short walk in mind when planning to arrive for your trip. If you need to use a postcode for Google Maps etc then please use TR7 1HR
What Should I Bring?
This is dependent on which adventure you have booked. Please see below:
Wildlife & some Private Charters:
We advise everyone to wear sensible shoes and to bring a lightweight waterproof jacket however if you don’t have one or forget one on the day, we do have poncho’s available. Modern self inflating life jackets are provided.
Please try and bring as few personal belongings and valuables down to the harbour as possible as they are likely to get wet on the boat and there are limited storage facilities at the harbour.Camera’s and mobile devices to capture the incredible adventure are permitted on board (the more waterproof the better) however we unfortunately cannot cover for any possible damaged caused so you bring it on board at your own risk.
Odyssey Adrenaline, Lifeboat Experience, Lifeboat Patrol:
Bring your own wetsuit or you can hire one for £5 from our friends at Newquay Watersports Centre (also down in Newquay Harbour). Please try and bring as few personal belongings and valuables down to the harbour as possible as they are likely to get wet on the boat and there are limited storage facilities at the harbour. For the Lifeboat Experience you will also be provided with professional rescue PFD and helmet.
Exploration Charters including Diving Adventures:
For diving expeditions, we are lucky to be working alongside Dive Newquay who will kit you out with all you need for a diving expedition.
Film & Photography Crews – Private Charters:
We will try to accomodate any and all relevant equipment needed to be brought aboard but there are no guarantees equipment will not get wet. We are unable to cover any possible damage to any equipment or technology aboard the Odyssey so it is done so at the owners/companies risk.
These are active adventures and all participants will be asked to sign a medical form & disclaimer to say they are fit and well and can swim in order to take part and fully understand the risks involved.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The decision to launch from Mylor Harbour is made in the event weather conditions are unacceptable at Newquay. We can transport you to Mylor Harbour or you can make your own way down and enjoy the rest of the day exploring the historic town of Falmouth. We will always make the best decision in terms of your safety and notify you in advance as soon as that decision is made.
If an adventure is cancelled due to inclement weather across the entire Cornish coast and can’t be rebooked during your stay, you can choose to use the ticket within 18 months or receive a full refund. If you are local, we will rearrange a convenient day as soon as possible.
What happens if I need to cancel?
All cancellations must be advised in writing (email acceptable) by the person who originally made the booking. Cancellations are accepted as from the date we receive the written confirmation of cancellation.
Cancellations incur the following charges: –
1. Date of booking to 14 working days prior to the trip taking place – client will lose their non-refundable deposit.
